We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of Alberobello and Matera. The staff at Apulia Smart Tour were incredibly professional, efficient, and friendly. The brochure provided had all the info we needed to self-tour Alberobello and discover its history. We opted to join a guided tour of Matera (with an additional fee) hosted by Pasquale who was a phenomenal guide speaking in Italian, English, and Spanish. Overall, it was a fantastic day trip from Bari I would highly recommend.

I enjoyed the tour. Yes, it was without a guide, but for those who have no idea where to go, they provide a brochure that you can read during the trip. It’s a very convenient way to see Alberobello and Matera in one day. There’s just enough time to grab a bite, take a look around, and you don’t get tired of the views. It’s very well thought out 👍

We had an excellent full day tour of both Alberobello (Trulli houses) and Matera (cave houses). The tours ran on time and to schedule, Danielle was a great driver. The guides at both Alberobello and Matera where enthusiastic, knowledgeable and shared a genuine passion for the region.
The tasting experience in Alberobello (olive oil and vino cotto) is definitely worth adding to your itinerary.

Great option how to see these 2 incredible cities in 1 day. The option with no guide gives you freedom to wander on your own. The instructions were clear, arrival and departure on time. I would suggest you take snacks to Alberobello because with taking pictures and admiring souvenirs, there is really no time to eat in a restaurant.

A wonderfully organized trip 😍 starting with a book guide in our native language (Polish) with specially prepared in Google Maps trips around each town (Polignano a Mare, Ostuni and Locorotodno), through a nice atmosphere in the bus - clean and atmospheric with Italian music in the background and with gentlemen who took care of everything with a smile on their face 😊 I recommend, recommend, recommend 😍

Valle d'Itria Tour: Polignano, Ostuni e Locorotondo, da Bari. This was a fantastic way to see these wonderful places. Our guide Selenia was lovely and very helpful - itinerary instructions and timings were very clear. There was enough time in each location to walk around at your own pace and see all the beautiful views and buildings. Even time stop to eat and drink. Perfect day out.

Our trip started in Bari to Alberobello on time . Rocco , the driver was excellent , . We arrived at beautiful Alberobello and the tour guide explained where to go and then free time, including an olive oil testing . Then we went to Matera a long drive , but so worth it , It was beautiful. Lorenzo the tour guide was excellent explaining all . He was very knowledgeable , and not rushing the group . Make sure you use comfortable shoes . . This tour is worth taking it .

Each stop was beautiful and unique, and Danielle made the experience seamless and enjoyable with his knowledge, professionalism, and warm personality. He gave us plenty of time to explore while sharing great insights and local tips.

We booked the tour online from Get your guide. It was all very well explained, with clear indications on locations and timing.
The tour was split in two parts: Alberobelo and then Matera. When getting on the bus we got a brochure (it was available in several languages) that was explaining nicely the timings to and from each locations and it was also giving details about both destinations. You also had an option to get an online virtual guide that was giving you insights about the destinations.
In Alberobelo we did not have a guided tour (we had not booked it, and it think that it would have been useful having it). I think we had enough time to explore and we even had lunch and drink on one of the terraces in the center.
Going to Matera we were awaited by a local guide (pre-booked on the Get your guide). It was a very nice experience. Out guide, Giuseppe, was very knowledgeable and explained to us the history of the city giving unknown insights (him being a local). I totally recommend having a guide in order to get the full experience of Matera. We had in total 3.5 HR in Matera and I think it was enough. It is true that we did not visit all the area (if we had a full day we would have gone to the caves on the other side of the canyon - it's a bit of a hike and visited the Sassia area).
Now, going back to the bus: all good and nice conditions and the driver very pleasant and polite. I think it would have been useful having more insights about the areas we were passing on the way to Alberobelo and Matera. We passed lots of orchards of what seemed like Cherries and Olives - looked amazing. Also lots of vineyards on the way. I would have liked to get more details about what I'd grown and the importance to the local community / economy.
In the bus they were playing some videos showing the next destination but they were often stopping and it was confusing sometimes hearing them in 5 languages. Since we had booked an English tour (and everyone on the bus was booked for English), I think having the tour in English would have been more meaningful. That being said I think having a guide together with the driver to give more insights on the destinations and on the areas we are passing through would be a nice addition.
All in all , it was a nice day, nice trip and I would repeat the experience - so I totally recommend to anyone.

I only have words of praise for Tour of Alberobello and Matera from Bari by Apulia Smart Tour. Truly great value for money, a very nice comfortable bus ride to both cities from Bari, very comfortable bus with AC system and Italian music to set the mood, driver Daniele was really friendly and kind and even gifted us a traditional taralli snack in between cities, the agency also provided us printed itinerary as well as very useful brochure of cities. I highly recommend this ✨️

We had a lovely day touring Alberobello and Marera with our fabulous driver Rocco.
Note that this is not a fully guided tour, really transport between the 3 towns.
We walked around Alberobello on our own, which is a lovely town. We took the guided tour option of Matera, which was interesting but slow paced. Lots of steps and inclines that challenged some of our group. We got some history of the area but if you really want to get to see more of the town, you might cover more area on your own.
A good way to see a lot in one day.

We booked the trip to Alberobello or Matera. We decided on the variant without a guide. So we were able to explore both cities on our own. We received a small brochure as information, which contained the most important key facts about both destinations. The trip was well organized and you had enough time to discover the two beautiful places. Daniele, our bus driver, was also really nice and personable and even gave us a few free cookies. We really enjoyed the day and can definitely recommend the trip.

How on earth buses get around Bari and beyond is above me, but Rocco, our driver did a marvellous job getting us from place to place with good friendly humour. I think lack of toilets at the venues will always be a problem as more visitors travel to these places. Great tour though.

Our driver Rocco was a wonderful drive and the bus was very comfortable. He turned down the music when we complained about it being too loud.
Giuseppe also very knowledgeable about the history and culture of Matera . Funny but insightful and caring about not leaving anyone behind since it was a long and tiring g walking tour the only hitch was that one elderly Spanish couple that mistakenly joined our all English group so we had to wait about 20 mins for the correct tour group to meet us at the starting point.
But the other guide in Alberobello her name Michaela was a huge disappointment. We should’ve done the tour ourselves and seen more sights on self guided tour. I expected her to show us most of the sights on the self guided tour but we saw just one trulli and spent too long. The olive oil tasting tour was excellent but also took too long. We weren’t left with enough time to see anything else. It was a waste of time. Very very well organised day trip to Alberobello and Matera. Everything was on point, the schedule, the fliers, which were helpful during the free hours with info and routes, the multimedia in the bus, which was a good addition, and the snack as a present from the company.
The trip is completely enough for both towns. Otherwise, if someone chooses one of them, a whole day is too much for it, for instance.
Also, applause to the driver Francesco from Ceglie Eurobus. He is kind, positive, and professional at what he does. Definitely recommend the trip and the experience! 👏

It was a good trip but I think you need to take into consideration toilet stop out of the time if people are choosing the guided option. We had to wait around for the guide to start because people were using the toilet. And this affected the free time you get in Alberobello afterwards. You are meant to have 1.5hrs! Once finished olive oil tasting it was 11:25am and takes 12 mins to walk back to bus from main strip. So only left with just over 50mins!
I found myself rushing around to see what I wanted and didn’t get the chance to eat. Matera was beautiful.

We did the Alberobello and Matera tour from Bari and it was great! Absolutely recommended! Super well organized, with a top safe bus driver. At the beginning you get a brochure in the respective national language with all the important information about the respective locations + cell phone number (if there is anything) and all information about the departure times and the exact meeting points. You really feel in good hands here. We visited Alberobello on our own and in Matera we had a city guide. I would book that way again because you get really great information about Matera and great viewpoints. It was such a great trip...thank you for that! Oh yes: the Italian songs are a real enrichment while driving!

Tour was great plenty of time to explore each location, have a small bite or lunch. We enjoyed lunch in the cave restaurant in Ostuni cave restaurant their fixed menu was perfect. It would be nice to have you partner with local shops since most shops close during certain hours and some of us didn’t have an opportunity to enjoy a lunch. Also provide options for returning to original pickup location. As some tourists returned an hour late which held up those returning on time.

Itria Valley Tour was marvelous. Driver was good. Each town visited was unique. The local food & wine was great. In Ostuni the cave restaurant, off the main road, was absolutely superb. Rate that ten out of ten. Two individuals returned 45 minutes late that cut our time in the next city.

We were excited to visit all 3 towns on this tour and they all lived up to expectation. They are all so different but each was very interesting.
The driver, Daniel, played the audio description for each town on our way there which was great as trying to listen on the internet had some problems.
The google maps routes were a great help in navigating the towns but occasionally the signal got a bit scrambled probably due to the thickness of the walls in the historic towns.

Nice and rich excursion in Alberobello. Guide Micaela is very good and gave us a lot of useful information. The olive oil test was wonderful. City is magical, like from a fairy tale.
In Matera - the historical European favorite was great. There Stefania takes us to unique and secret places.

A very well-organized trip. Everything according to plan. The driver Rocco transported us from place to place efficiently. Apart from the views outside the window, the journey was made more pleasant by Italian rhythms. The guide, Stefania, showed us around many corners of Matera, embellishing the walk with stories. The area is visited by a lot of Poles - it would be nice to have tours also in Polish.

The start of the tour was a little shaky because there seemed to be difficulty determining the tour groupings. But once the tour started our guide Stefania was quite informative. Individual headsets would also work so much better for these types of tours. Our guide Stefania only had a mic attached to a small speaker. Specific seating assignments would also be helpful as at the end of the tour some passengers took seats belonging to passengers who sat there earlier.

This tour, which comes across first as modest, is actually top in the industry, no doubt. They reply at once to your online inquiries. They accommodate, if you have specific needs. I really enjoyed the tour and would recommend it to anyone. Alberobello and Matera are two beautiful cities. I'm not usually a fan of group tours, but in this case it made sense because the cities aren't that easy to reach by public transport! The tour was well organized, and the guides were very nice. The tour in Matera was exciting, but it lasted a long time. I still had about an hour to explore the city on my own.
One small negative: I had a brief moment of shock when leaving – because the bus left 20 minutes early, and I just watched it drive away. As it turned out, the meeting point wasn't a parking lot, and the buses had to keep circling the block. It would have been nice if we'd been informed about this before.

Joined tour from Bari to Alberobello and Matera , one day tour. I think it’s worthy cause we don’t need to worry about the transportation of this 2 towns which is about 1 hour apart.
Alberobello, we didn’t join the guide, hence was given a brochure that we have follow or just google the must go spots online.
Matera, there were many ppl in the group , I had to follow guide closely to listen to her introduction. It would be better if there is a earpiece , like the tour to Pompei

The booklet had sight seeing, restaurants, bars and public toilets listed. The same was also accessible by phone on google maps with a whole route plotted for every city. Very easy to navigate. Lot of time in every spot to see everything, coffee, food and toilets. Driver was able to communicate basic sentences in English. There was also an audio guide playing in the bus describing history of every city. I highly recommend.

Fantastic tour, very well organised & informative. Alberobello & Matera both amazing places and well worth the visit. Tour guides Miguela & Pascquale were both amazing, the tasting experiences were also a highlight of the tour. Highly recommend.

The trip was very good. We were able to visit Alberobello and Matera in one day. The time was enough for both city. We had very good focaccia burrata dried tomato prosciutto in Alberobello and aperolspritz in Matera. In Matera we were able to go even for a small hike to check the city from a better view.

driver Danielle was great, and the experience a pleasant one! The trulli’s in Alborebelo are amazing and Matera is a piece of history, just gorgeous! Pascale got us through the most iconic places in Matera and he shared so much information with us with so much grace and patience! I recommend you to try the tour with Apulia Smart Tour!

We had a great day in Alberobello and Matera. It was just right length of time. Rocco was our driver and it was a comfortable ride even though we had three legs of 1 hour+.

We had a great day seeing 2 beautifull cities of Puglia. They offer a small brochure with all the necessary information of touristhotspots with a walking guide via Google Maps and often a spoken guide if you scan every QR-code. There is an excellent communication between the tourguide and their costumers. If you don´t like to drive yourself to those cities, this is a great oppurtunity to discover it with a bus and your 3-4h time.

Truly a wonderful journey. Apulia Smart Tour punctual in both departure and arrival, with a very nice driver. Thank you, Daniele, for your company. We just came back from the tour, absolutely perfectly organised, even immediately after the booking around 8 p.m. the day before departure, Francesco contacted us and sent the photo of thé meeting point- very helpful, the driver was great too, I can only recommend Apulia Smart Tour

Nicely organized trip to Arbelobello and Matera. We booked a tour to Matera but were instructed to pay for tour to Arbelobello. Both Michaela and Pasquale were very knowledgeable making this tour nice. Personally, I would appreciate more free time in each place since we had 1h or so after the tour so you could not see everything you want additionally to tgmge guided tours. All in all, recommended 👌

We just expected a bus to Alberobello and Matera. It cost a little more than doing the same through trenitalia, but eliminated all the stops. However, we were pleasantly surprised that a guide (Pasquale) was provided to lead us through Matera. Pasquale did a great job in three languages explaining the history of old and new Matera. A very enjoyable day to these unesco world heritage sites!
