Description

On this tour you will visit the UNESCO sites of Alberobello & Matera with a tour guide, with whom you will discover the history and customs of the places and you will be able to taste typical local products. Long description On this tour you will have the opportunity to visit two extraordinary destinations in southern Italy, both UNESCO World Heritage Sites: Alberobello and Matera. Accompanied by an expert guide, you will discover the history, architecture and traditions of these unique places. Alberobello: The first stop is Alberobello, famous for its characteristic trulli, conical-shaped houses in white stone. Walking through the historic districts of Rione Monti and Aia Piccola, you can admire the Trullo Sovrano and the Church of Sant'Antonio. The guide will tell you about the history and construction techniques of these homes, conveying the charm of a traditional way of life. After the visit, you will have the opportunity to participate in a "tasting of typical local products", savoring delights such as salty and/or sweet taralli, bitters and/or wines, etc... to immerse yourself in the authentic flavors of Puglia. After the guided tour, before reaching the checkpoint for departure to Matera, you will have free time to further explore the place on your own, with the opportunity to have lunch, buy souvenirs or simply enjoy the atmosphere. Matera: Subsequently, the tour continues towards Matera, famous for its Sassi, ancient houses carved into the rock.

Located in the center of the city, in an ancient building, this multimedia exhibition tells the story of Matera in a moving and informative way and will help you understand and fully appreciate its complex history.

Today Casa Noha is an asset of the FAI (Italian Environment Fund) and represents the gateway to the city.
