Description

In this Tour we will visit:   - Alberobello, also known as the city of trulli, named a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1996, an exceptional example of building construction with prehistoric techniques that have survived intact and still function in the modern world. A "Trullo" is a small limestone house, made of dry stone walls, roughly worked limestone boulders collected from nearby fields and topped with a conical roof. Souvenir shops, B&Bs, bars and restaurants will cheer up your stay in Alberobello.   - Matera, hard to believe that less than 70 years ago, around 15,000 people, mostly peasants and farmers, still lived in caves without natural light, ventilation, running water or electricity. Today Matera is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and has been designated the European Capital of Culture for 2019. The ancient neighbourhoods, known as sassi, are a series of caves carved into the limestone, teetering on the edge of a ravine. You will admire a complex labyrinth of stone walkways and stairs full of local craft shops, cafes and ice cream parlors.

ACCESSIBILITY YES (it is suitable for people with reduced mobility).   Traveling by bus and coach The safety and health of our passengers and staff have always been, and will always remain, an absolute priority for us. Any decision in the direction of a restart must be consistent with this objective, as well as naturally strictly respecting the provisions of the Government and the competent authorities, whose guidelines regarding health protection will be scrupulously applied to the management of our service. It goes without saying that, in preparing these measures, we will also appeal to the sense of responsibility of our passengers, inviting them to observe a conscientious attitude that supports the efforts we put in place to protect their health and that of our drivers.    Reduced mobility Passengers with reduced mobility have the right to travel by bus and coach like everyone else. They cannot prevent you from purchasing a ticket, making a reservation or boarding due to your reduced mobility, except in cases where this is absolutely necessary to comply with health and safety regulations or the infrastructure is not such as to ensure safe transportation.

Casa Noha is located on the top of the Civita, the oldest part of the Sassi of Matera, and was once the home of the family de Noha (also called de Noya or de Noia), one of the extinct noble families of Matera.

Located in the center of the city, in an ancient building, this multimedia exhibition tells the story of Matera in a moving and informative way and will help you understand and fully appreciate its complex history.

Today Casa Noha is an asset of the FAI (Italian Environment Fund) and represents the gateway to the city.
